It's All In The Buffing!

Sparrow is a caring soul and likes to make sure that I am feeling and looking my best, her latest offering comes in the form of a mineral foundation, confused? So was I!

Bare minerals is the latest make up craze to hit the press, using minerals and no chemicals what so ever the Bareminerals range claims to provide the 'Ultimate Coverage' without the feeling of a gunky face.

Now I'm not one that particularly enjoys talking about make up at great length but as far as foundations go, I will give this the thumbs up, without sounding like an overdone, scary, sales girl from the debenhams make up counter....

...It really does provide 'Great coverage and gives you a lovely warm glow'.

So I ventured to Selfridges on Oxford Street on a Saturday morning (not advised)....
to buy myself the foundation..my favourite part of the somewhat stressful experience was a quote from one of the sales ladies, it went a little something like this ' You dont need to use very much, it's not the quantity, it's all in the buffing'.

So if you like to buff, and you fancy a chemical free foundation, then this may be the product for you, check out their website for further details of pricing and products.

Bumble Bees And Sparrows Are Best Buddies

So little sparrow sometimes likes to dabble in a little art, she recently introduced me to an artist who she loves (Rosie Scott), her favourite painting by Rosie is one of a bumble bee having lots of fun buzzing around a beautiful bunch of daffodils, sparrow went on to tell me how she loves bumble bees and has a best friend who is part of the yummy honey making family.

You can see and buy Rosie's work at navigatorarts.co.uk

Go On, Have A Ball!

So occasionally little cockney sparrow brings me food deliverys when she can tell I'm a bit peckish and need a pick me up, her latest offering has changed my life...it comes in the form of an odd looking round ball, it tastes like nothing I have ever eaten before. Named a bounce ball it is a little bundle of joy that can be eaten any time of day when you need a quick fix of energy.

The balls come in many different varieties including..Fudgie Walnut Balls,
Cashew & Pecan Balls, Almond Protein Balls,Premium Protein Balls and the best seller and in my opinion the best Spirulina Ginseng Balls. I didnt realise that something so small and odd looking could be so satisfying and delicious.

They do come at a bit of a pinch at just under £2.00 but in my opinion they are well worth the pennies, they taste delicious and have excellent health benefits the Spirulana ball contains the superfoods Spirulina, Ginseng & Fo-ti Root and is rich in naturally present antioxidants and vitamins.

Bounce balls can be bought in all Wholefood stores, many little health food shops, and if you really love them then you can order them in packs of 16 at http://www.bouncefoods.com/uk/index.php.

Enjoy!!!

Love To Macaroon

Macaroon is the best place in London (I believe) to get a real Parisian experience without having to book flights and shoot off for the weekend.

Macaroon is a Parisian patisserie based in the heart of Clapaham Common.
From the outside, before you even walk in you feel like you have been transported to the streets of gay paris, and upon entrance the experience only gets more oohh lala.

The cakes are exquisitely presented and almost too beautiful to be eaten, and the tea ( my favourite part) is, in my opinion, the only way tea should be drunk (with tea leaves, in a pot, and with a and saucer).

A perfect spot for a little decadence, any time of year.

Here I am enjoying the tea!

Not Your Average Cocktail

Now when I think of cocktails I instantly imagine a disgusting, brightly coloured concoction of sugar and alcohol given some sort of sleazy name ( you know the type I mean).

But I recently had a visit from little Sparrow who pointed me in the direction of a cocktail bar in Clapham common... I have to say all my previous pre-conceptions about cocktails just flew out of the window. They were absolutley INCREDIBLE!! My particular favourite was a cocktail made with a hazelnut liqueur (Frangelicco), gin, and lemon, no words can describe how good this cocktail is, you will just have to take my word for it. Every single sip is a total and utter pleasure that you just want to return to over and over again.

Check out the website for more details..
